Captioning a splash page so future-you trusts it

A splash page without a caption becomes a pretty mystery. Write three fragments: series name, issue nickname, and the job the page does in the story (“arrival in the rain,” “team gathered,” “quiet kitchen after the fight”).

Do not crop away credits if they sit on the page you saw. Do not invent a title because the real one felt long. Future-you will try to match the JPEG to a Marvel NFT comic on Veve; matching is easier when the words were honest.

If you cannot finish the reason, you are collecting noise. Delete the crop. The live issue will still be there when you want to reread the whole sequence.
