A screenshot is not the issue

Collectors in Chiang Mai often show me a bright JPEG and say they “backed up the comic.” They backed up a feeling. The Marvel NFT comic still lives in the account that collected it. The JPEG is a postcard of a splash page.
Treat the postcard kindly. Caption it. Keep two copies. Then open the live issue when you want the full sequence, the motion, or the listing header. Preservation fails when the postcard is asked to do the job of the object.
If a friend asks for a copy of the issue, send them to the marketplace path, not to your reread tray. Sharing a crop of a city establishing shot is a conversation. Sharing a folder labeled “complete run” as if it were the tokens is a confusion we try to stop at the studio table.
