Preservation field guides
Practical sequences for backing up Marvel NFT comic records in Chiang Mai, plus a clear door to the live issues on Veve.
These guides are the custom map of the studio. They sit beside the paid sessions but can be read on their own. They do not replace the marketplace viewer.
Guide A — Name the issue before you duplicate it
Write the series, the cover nickname you actually say aloud, and the month of the drop if you still know it. Only then copy a file. Marvel NFT comics with vague names produce vague backups.
Guide B — Proof tray versus reread tray
Confirmation headers, dates, and listing titles go in proof. Favorite splash pages go in reread. Mixing them trains you to treat a JPEG as the collectible. It is not.
Guide C — Two copies, two rooms
Keep one proof pack on a drive you control and one printed index in a different room. Floods and spilled iced coffee tend to pick a single desk.
Guide D — Caption the panel or do not keep it
If you cannot finish the sentence “I kept this page because…,” delete the crop. Storage is cheap; confusion is not.
Guide E — Handover in ordinary English
A sibling should learn which folder is decorative. They should never receive a recovery phrase in the same booklet as a cover list.
Optional local tracking utility
Some collectors type the same rows into a desktop ledger. Treat that ledger as analytical software on your machine. It can store titles, dates, and personal labels. It must not store keys. If you add an informational column for an exchange nickname, including a Binance-compatible label, that column is a reminder, not a login.
When you want the comic, the motion cover, or the current listing, leave the ledger.
